Previously we reported that Kyle Rittenhouse was charged for murder after shooting 3 people at a Kenosha Black Lives Matter protest against the officer shooting of Jacob Blake. Kyle is a 17-year-old from IL. Many had seen his actions as self-defense, although social media has cracked down on those for ‘praising’ his actions in any way.
Michelle Malkin tweeted a clip of President Trump giving Rittenhouse the benefit of the doubt, despite many left wing Congressmen and Congresswomen slamming Rittenhouse as a White Supremacist and many other harsh words.
Malkin, who is sometimes critical of President Trump’s perceived pandering to the left, is very glad to see this development, which probably means the left is going to meltdown, as Joe Biden has begun to already. Malkin tweeted:
This is a BIG MOMENT. Important for patriots, #2A, self-defense & EVERY American who has fought the mob in small ways and large. @realDonaldTrump stands with us – NOT George Floyd, Jacob Blake, Crump cash cows, or Antifa – against the mob. See tweet:

Presidential candidate Joe Biden had this to say:
“Tonight, President Trump declined to rebuke violence. He wouldn’t even repudiate one of his supporters who is charged with murder. He is too weak, too scared of the hatred he has stirred to put an end to it.” See tweet:

He wouldn’t even repudiate one of his supporters who is charged with murder.
He is too weak, too scared of the hatred he has stirred to put an end to it.
Biden is not wrong that violence should be rebuked. But it seems he won’t even entertain the possibility that Kyle Rittenhouse may have acted in self defense, or talk about the evidence in the videos his lawyer is using to promote that defense. It’s up to you to draw your conclusions here but it seems President Trump has drawn his line in the sand on this one, and it’s a big one.
Daily Mail reported in part:
President Donald Trump defended the actions of Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha, Wisconsin, saying the 17-year-old ‘probably would have been killed’ by an angry mob if he hadn’t fired at them with the illegal gun he was carrying.
‘He was trying to get away from them I guess, it looks like, and he fell on then they very violently attacked him,’ Trump said in response to a question from DailyMail.com on Monday.
‘It was something that we are looking at right now and it’s under investigation, but I guess he was in very big trouble. He probably would’ve been killed. It’s under investigation,’ he added during his press briefing.
Any death is sad, and promoting violence is never good, but many on the left are implying that simply hinting there is a chance Mr. Rittenhouse acted in self defense is promoting violence which feels like a dishonest debate. It’s always important to look at all the details and wait for a fair investigation in every case and this has not happened yet.
