U.S. Sen Joe Manchin (D-WV) put a left wing reporter from the HuffPost in his place today by telling the reporter, “This is bullsh*t, you’re bullsh*t.”
Following the exchange, the reporter, Arthur Delaney, took to Twitter to complain about the situation.
Delaney reported on what happened to begin the situation: “I had asked if it was true he wanted (Child tax credit) out of (Build Back Better).”
“I’ve always been for child tax credits,” Manchin told Delaney.
Delaney then said, “So I asked if he wants it to continue paying parents $300 a month, and he said he was not going to ‘negotiate’ with me and that I’m bullsh*t.”
“Everyone around here is ‘for’ the child tax credit. It’s a question of whether you want it to keep paying parents as much as $300 per month,” Delaney continued.
Delaney explained, “If the advance monthly payments and extra $1,600 expire at the end of the month, there will still be a $2,000 partially refundable credit.”
“Meanwhile, the last advance child tax credit payment is going out this week,” Delaney concluded, sharing a HuffPost article on the matter.

The Hill reported that some Democrats, including Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (IL) and Senate Democratic Conference Vice Chairwoman Elizabeth Warren (MA), want Schumer to schedule a vote on Build Back Better before Christmas.
Schumer, however, doesnât seem inclined to risk the bill failing on the Senate floor because of a ânoâ vote from Manchin.
Democrats had been expecting Schumer to lay out the next steps for the bill at a chairmenâs lunch scheduled for this afternoon that was abruptly canceled.
