Country singer and conservative commentator John Rich sent a message today to fellow country singer Toby Keith after he announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
As we previously reported, Keith said in a statement, “Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax.”
“I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait,” Keith added.
The statement was shared in a tweet by Keith, which was quote tweeted by Rich who told him, “Hang in there, @tobykeith” along with a thumbs up.

In May, Keith hosted The 18th annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic in Oklahoma City and Norman, Oklahoma to benefit children at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.
Keith also performed over Memorial Day weekend at the Heroes Honor Festival at Daytona International Speedway in May as well.
However, the Ohio State Fair tweeted after the announcement that Keith wasn’t going to be able to make a scheduled performance in July at that event.
