In a post today on X, Kari Lake applauded Donald Trump for his decision to skip any 2024 GOP presidential debates.
Lake shared a clip of her during an interview with Steve Bannon and asked, “Why would President @realDonaldTrump sit at the kids table when he already had a seat at the biggest table in the world?”
“Trump has nothing more to prove,” Lake insisted.
Lake then added, “I’m more interested in watching him talk about solutions with @TuckerCarlson than him being attacked by the JV debate team.”
Trump confirmed yesterday that he will be skipping Wednesday’s first Republican presidential primary debate, and it appears he will not do any others that may occur.
In a Truth Social post, Trump declared, “The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had. I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!”
The Associated Press reported that Trump’s spokesman did not immediately clarify whether he plans to boycott every primary debate or just those that have currently been scheduled.
In a June interview, Trump asked, “Why would I allow people at 1 or 2% and 0% to be hitting me with questions all night?”
An interview that had been previously conducted by Tucker Carlson is set to air on X Wednesday night.
