Karine Jean-Pierre Doesn’t Directly Answer Peter Doocy About Why Joe Biden Can Visit Buffalo but Not Waukesha After a ‘Senseless Tragedy’

In her first daily press briefing, new White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre didn’t directly answer a question from Fox News’ Peter Doocy about why Joe Biden can visit Buffalo, NY but not Waukesha, WI after a “senseless tragedy.”

In a clip shared in a tweet by The Post Millennial, Doocy asked, “How come the president is visiting Buffalo after a senseless tragedy there, but he couldn’t visit Waukesha after six were killed and 61 injured in an attack on a Christmas parade there.”

Jean-Pierre responded, “I mean he’s visited many communities. Buffalo, he is able to go tomorrow to Buffalo, before the trip, that is something that was important for him to do.”

“He has visited many other communities. Buffalo is not the first community, sadly, that he has to go up to because of a violent attack,” Jean-Pierre explained.

Jean-Pierre concluded, “That’s not the first one, there are many others.”

Biden announced his plans yesterday in a tweet where he said, “Jill and I will travel to Buffalo on Tuesday to grieve with the community that lost ten lives in a senseless and horrific mass shooting.”

Prior to that, Biden tweeted that “Jill and I pray for the victims, their families and devastated community from yesterday’s mass shooting in Buffalo, New York.”

“Our hearts are heavy once again but our resolve must not waver; we must work together to address the hate that remains a stain on the soul of this nation,” Biden insisted.

Newsweek reported this morning that back when another tragedy struck the community of Waukesha, Biden did not travel to visit the site of the massacre.
