Lauren Boebert Calls For a ‘Stephen Colbert Committee After We Throw Him and His Producers in Solitary For 17 Months’

U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO), who had her office targeted during the unlawful entry, called today for a “Stephen Colbert committee after we throw him and his producers in solitary for 17 months.”

Boebert appeared to be comparing the situation to what has happened to those who unlawfully entered the Capitol on Jan. 6.

“That’s how it goes now, right? Standard operating procedure?” Boebert wondered as well in the tweet.

Prior to that, Boebert asked in a tweet, “Why was @StephenAtHome’s staff breaking federal law and at my office last night?”

“Was this an illegal reconnaissance tour or a full on insurrection? Did they go in? Did Stephen fund this? Is he being charged? I’m demanding answers,” Boebert insisted.

Liberal Twitter user “BrooklynDad_Defiant!” tried to downplay the situation as he tweeted today, “Good morning and Happy Saturday to everyone who understands the difference between the Stephen Colbert team filming a comedy bit for a show, and hundreds of savage trumpers destroying the Capitol and beating cops with fire extinguishers and flag poles. Big difference.”

Yesterday, we reported that employees for the Colbert Show were arrested for illegally entering the Capitol Thursday night.

According to Jesse Watters, Adam Schiff has been “implicated” in the breach as one who may be responsible for letting them in.

Fox News’ Chad Pegram shared a thread on the situation:

“Fox is told the people were arrested in the Longworth House Office Building. The group was in the Cannon House Office Building earlier in the day trying to get interviews around the time of the 1/6 committee hearing.”

“However, USCP shooed them away because they did not have proper press credentials.”

“However, the group surfaced later that night after the Capitol complex was closed to the public Fox is told they took pictures and video around the offices of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO).”

“They were unescorted and arrested and charged with illegal entry. They were arrested near Boebert’s office. They were released overnight.”
