Earlier today, Joe Biden delivered remarks about the December 2021 jobs report and attempted to highlight the positives from it.
As even CNN acknowledged, the 199,000 jobs added in the month was a major disappointment, although unemployment fell to 3.9%.
In a clip tweeted by TPUSA’s Benny Johnson, Biden said, “Now I hear Republicans say today that my talking about the strong record shows that I don’t understand, I don’t understand.”
“‘A lot people are still suffering’ they say. Well they are. ‘Or that I’m not focused on inflation,’ malarkey. They want to talk down the recovery because they voted against the legislation that made it happen,” Biden insisted.
U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) quote tweeted the clip and asked, “If you’re focused on inflation, then why does it keep going up, Joe?”
“I’m calling malarkey on you,” Boebert fired back.
If you're focused on inflation, then why does it keep going up, Joe?

Fox News financial expert Larry Kudlow also responded to Biden’s remarks and told him, “That’s right, Joe. We have a brand-new approach to our economy.”
“You have generated the first serious bout of inflation in 40 decades. Nice going! This could not have been easy! The Fed has been trying to get inflation above their 2% target for years and years. You just did it in 9 months!” Kudlow pointed out.
Kudlow explained, “It’s called way too much government spending to boost demand and way too many taxes and regulations to choke-off supply.”
“What you should do in the new year is dump your advisers and make Senator Joe Manchin the chair of your Council of Economic Advisers,” Kudlow lobbied.
