U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) announced tonight that she has been confirmed the winner of her House race after a recount.
Boebert recorded a video that she shared in a tweet and said, “All of the counties completed their recounts, and confirmed we’ve won this race.”
“Republicans have been entrusted with the majority and we must now prove we can take the temperature down in DC by leading not only with strength but grace,” Boebert insisted.
In a reply, Boebert pointed out that “Our conservative policies will help all Americans to overcome the challenges we face so each of us has the opportunity to live our very best life.”
“Thank you for entrusting me to help lead the way. I’ll be working every day to prove I can get the job done right,” Boebert added.

Thank you for entrusting me to help lead the way. I'll be working every day to prove I can get the job done right.
Despite the unexpectedly slim margin, it was reported that Boebert outperformed Republican candidates for governor, U.S. Senate, secretary of state, and Colorado treasurer in her district’s largest county, Pueblo.
Boebert’s Democratic opponent Adam Frisch conceded to her a week and a half after Election Day and acknowledged that the recount was unlikely to change the results.
Boebert’s 550-vote lead after the final results were tabulated was well within the statutory requirement for an automatic recount.
A department spokesperson said that the total cost of the recount will not be calculated until after all 27 counties in the district submit receipts to the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office.
