Lauren Boebert Fires Back at AOC’s Weak Rebuttal of Tweet in Which She Highlights AOC’s Constituents Confront her for Selling Out

With midterms less than a month away, U.S. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) tangled it up on Twitter with U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) after the “progressive” representative was chastised at a town hall Q&A.

In the clip that was shared by Boebert initially in a tweet, Ocasio-Cortez was told by an audience member at the Q&A that her votes are leading us into nuclear war.

Ocasio-Cortez refuses to address the accusations at that time in the video and despite continued prodding from the audience member who is an activist, has yet to address it.

Boebert said about the clip, “On the rare occasions that @AOC actually spends time with her constituents, she is reminded that she has sold them out at every turn.”

“She campaigned as an outsider and has now just morphed into #SandyPelosi!” Boebert declared.

Ocasio-Cortez shot back at Boebert by sharing a screenshot of her response to the clip in a tweet and said, “Hey Boebert, you seem to have us confused.”

“I have attended & hosted 100s of community events, I hold regular town halls, I don’t take a dime in corporate cash,” Ocasio-Cortez insisted.

Ocasio-Cortez then took aim at Boebert and told her, “You are bankrolled by corporate PACs, Big Ag, & Oil, you are too scared to hold regular town halls open to all.”

In a quote-tweet, Boebert pointed out to Ocasio-Cortez, “I notice you took a screenshot of my tweet instead of sharing the original one with the video of you getting completely ripped to shreds by your own constituents.”

“I have governed as I campaigned. You sold out your supporters. Just own it. You’re the machine now,” Boebert explained.
