It was announced yesterday that White House press secretary Jen Psaki’s last day is scheduled to be on May 13.
U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) noticed, however, that date will be next Friday, which would make it on a Friday the 13th.
In a tweet today, Boebert declared, mockingly, “Jen Psaki exiting the White House on Friday the 13th is quite fitting.”

Today, Psaki introduced her replacement, the current White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“She will be the first black woman, the first out LGBTQ+ person to serve in this role, which is amazing because representation matters and she will give a voice to so many,” Psaki said before listing her qualifications.

With the announcement being made before Psaki’s daily press briefing yesterday, it gave Fox News’ Peter Doocy an opportunity to mention the looming departure.
When Psaki called on him, Doocy told her, “Sorry to see you go.”
“Are you?” Psaki asked him slyly.
The room then broke out in laughter as Doocy continued, “You’ve always been a good sport.”
“Thank you. As have you,” Psaki retorted as Doocy concluded, “So on behalf of everybody, thank you.”
