Lauren Boebert Mocks Biden’s Lucidity After Kamala Harris Temporarily Moonlights As ‘Acting President’

Nearly overshadowed by the Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty verdict, Vice President Kamala Harris got to briefly take the reins of the United States of America while President Joe Biden was under anesthesia.

As reported, Harris was in control for 85 minutes while Biden received a routine colonoscopy on the eve of his 79th birthday.

U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) mocked the situation in the tweet where she said, “Funny how we had an Acting President today but pretend Biden is lucid the rest of the year.”

“Biden under anesthesia is about as mentally astute as when he’s awake,” the freshman Congresswoman explained.

Earlier, we reported on the temporary transfer of power:

“President Harris” is trending on Twitter after White House press secretary Jen Psaki announced that Joe Biden, who turns 79 on Saturday, will temporarily transfer power to his Vice President Kamala Harris while he is under anesthesia for a routine colonoscopy.

Jack Posobiac quipped in a tweet on the trending phrase, “President Harris is trending. It has begun”

CNN’s Daniella Diaz tweeted about the news, “President Joe Biden will receive a routine colonoscopy today while he is undergoing a physical at Walter Reed.”

“The process, which requires anesthesia, means that he will temporarily transfer power to Kamala Harris, who will briefly become the 1st woman President,” Diaz explained.

Many, like Indian journalist Aditi Tyagi, are celebrating the situation as “history made.”

As CNN noted, Harris checks many boxes as the nation’s first female, first black, and first South Asian vice president who will break yet another barrier when she temporarily steps into the acting role.

In a statement, Psaki reported Harris will work from her office in the West Wing while Biden is under anesthesia.
