Left-Wing Media Dealt Huge Blow as Fox News Crushes Ratings Again with ‘The Five’ Finishing First and 95 of top 100 Telecasts

Fox News self-reported (based on Nielsen Media Research) about themselves, saying that they dominated “95 of the 100 most-watched telecasts”. On top of that, “The Five” averaged 3.3 million viewers, coming in as number one.

It was reportedly the 18th week in a row that Fox News has been the number one basic cable channel. From May 2 through May 9th, Fox News averaged 1.5 million total viewers. MSNBC and CNN respectively only had 631,000 and 478,000 respectively based on that same metric, both failing to crack a million in the average total viewers category. “Gutfeld!” averaged 2.1 million viewers, beating Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon. As we have reported previously, Fox News has consistently dominated left-wing media outlets. Many Fox News viewers and/or former Fox News viewers voiced displeasure with Fox News’ election coverage in 2020, and many have asked why Dinesh D’Souza’s recent “2000 mules” show hasn’t been talked about more on the “right-leaning” channel.

Nevertheless, the numbers don’t lie and people unhappy with Fox News are certainly even more unhappy with the alternatives. With mid-term elections coming up and a sure-to-be contentious 2024 presidential election, the writing may be on the wall for the Dems.

Even if that is the case, however, which it is not guaranteed to be, the internal GOP struggle continues. State by state, moderates and MAGA candidates as well as “fake MAGA” candidates spar for political seats aplenty.

We will be staying tuned to see how things move forward. Many conservatives thought NewsMax would be a viable alternative to Fox News, however, many of the favored newscasters have quit or been fired and there have been various controversies surrounding NewsMax making them hard for people to see as the “next big thing”.

Many leftist news broadcasters have had other bad news lately, as NBC’s Chuck Todd was recently downgraded to streaming only, and Chris Wallace’s future remains unclear after CNN+ streaming was canceled altogether. That cancelation has made CNN the laughingstock of the media networks, and even some fellow liberals like Trevor Noah roasted them for it recently.
