Lou Dobbs Asks if Anyone Doubts that the FBI and DOJ are ‘Corrupt Beyond Salvation’ After Peter Navarro Describes Being Cuffed and Put in a Cell Despite Being Willing to Turn Himself In

On Friday, we reported that Peter Navarro became the second person and first former Trump aide to be indicted by a grand jury for defying subpoenas from the House Jan. 6 Select Committee.

Navarro was indicted on two misdemeanor counts stemming from his failure to comply with demands for documents and testimony in the panel’s investigation.

U.S. House Rep Matt Gaetz (R-FL) responded to the news by declaring in a tweet that “this is a total abuse of our justice system.”

“The January 6 committee is illegitimate,” Gaetz insisted.

After Navarro described being cuffed and put into a cell instead of being given an opportunity to turn himself in on the charges, which he said he would have willingly done, Lou Dobbs sounded off with similar rhetoric.

“Does anyone doubt that the FBI and Justice Department are corrupt beyond salvation after their treatment of former Presidential Advisor Peter Navarro?” Dobbs asked in a quote tweet of a clip of Navarro speaking with reporters.

Disclose.tv reported, “NOW – Former Trump adviser Peter Navarro: ‘They put me in handcuffs, they bring me here. They put me in leg irons. They stick me in a cell.'”

According to the Associated Press, Navarro said in court, “Who are these people? This is not America. I was a distinguished public servant for four years!”

Navarro was arrested by FBI agents at a Washington airport as he was boarding a flight to Nashville, Tennessee.
