Mark Finchem Calls Katie Hobbs’ Bluff After She Calls for Voter Intimidation Investigation, ‘Let’s Investigate Covered License Plates, People Showing up at Multiple Ballots’

Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) announced she has sent the six reports of possible voter intimidation to law enforcement (Department of Justice) for investigation. Mark Finchem (R), who is running for Secretary of State responds with his support for investigating election issues.

Finchem then highlights some alleged reports that were not investigated after the 2020 presidential election. Finchem shares on Twitter:

“My response to Hobbs is, “Yes by all means let’s investigate these claims. If the drop boxes were properly supervised, the voters would be less suspicious & perhaps could rest assured that the people inserting ballots into them were acting within the law. Let’s investigate the people covering the license plates, the people showing up at multiple drop boxes.”

ABC News reported on the six incidents. Five of them were all from the same drop box at 501 S. 3rd Ave. in Phoenix, AZ. The complaints describe a group of individuals monitoring the dropboxes by filming and photographing voters, and in some cases as the voters return to the same dropbox. One report states that individuals were dressed in “camo-clad gear”. Photos submitted show that some individuals were armed.

A complaint filed by a couple in their 70s said they were approached by a group of men when they parked to deposit their ballots in the drop box.

The complaint reads, “As we were getting up to our car, two individuals took pictures of our license plate and our car. I got out and asked what they were doing. They claimed they were taking pictures for “election security” and I took pictures of them to report them to the DOJ for voter intimation and harassment. As we were pulling out, they continued to film my wife, myself and our car.”

Another report reads, “There’s a group of people hanging out near the ballot dropbox filming and photographing my wife and I as we approached the dropbox and accusing us of being a mile (mule). They took photographs of our license plate and of us and then followed us out the parking lot in one of their cars continuing to film.”

There are strongly held beliefs by both parties on election integrity. It will now be in the hands of the DOJ as we are only 13 days away from the November 8th midterm election.
