U.S. House Rep Maxine Waters (D-CA) is claiming that someone hacked her Twitter account. She believes that the account has been erased, but she knows who is responsible for it, and will get to the bottom of it, so not to worry, fans of Maxine Waters.
In fact, Maxine Waters announced this to the world today, on the Twitter account she claims was erased. We’re not experts in the field of technology or internet workings, but it seems to us anyway, that perhaps the California Rep known for telling her supporters to “push back” on anyone in then President Trump’s cabinet is a little confused.
There was much ado about this earlier in fact. It seems as though no one in Waters’ staff has taken the time to go back and delete the tweet after realizing the account is perfectly fine. Some may use a story like this to argue for term limits. But us? We will let the reader decide what to think.
After all, Waters is in a heavily Democratic district and if she were to retire anytime soon, it’s not likely someone more right-leaning would jump in to take her place. Henry Rogers tweeted about commentary from a Twitter spokesperson:
“NEW according to a Twitter spokesperson: “We can’t comment on the Tweet, but, as is standard, we have open lines of communication with her office and have worked with them to ensure the account is secure. At this time, we’ve identified no signs of account compromise.””
