Former co-host of ABC’s “The View,” Meghan McCain, weighed in on a recent Twitter thread that took place between Elon Musk and rapper Nick Cannon.
McCain called the pair “creepy” for their “impregnate the planet mentality” after they congratulated each other for having a large number of children with different women.
“This ‘impregnate the planet’ mentality is creepy and comes off like the actions of a cult leader more than an altruistic person who wants to expand their family and save the planet,” McCain insisted.
After news broke that he had twins last year Shivon Zilis, an executive at one of his own companies, Musk took to Twitter to state that he is, “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis.”
“A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far,” Musk claimed.
Cannon responded, “Right there with you my Brother!”
Musk then replied to Cannon in what now appears to be a deleted tweet, “Congrats on your family! We must expand scope & scale of consciousness for civilization to flourish & understand nature of Universe. Consciousness resides most strongly in humans, therefore we need more people!”
Dilbert comic strip creator Scott Adams then jumped in and asked Musk, “Why is more consciousness good?”
“Clams seem happy,” Adams noted.
Musk told Adams, “Consciousness can understand the nature of the Universe. Clams, not so much.”
“We know so little today. I want to know the meaning of life or whatever the right question is to ask, as Douglas Adams would put it,” Musk pointed out in an additional reply.
Then, based on the fact that they had the same last name, Musk wondered, “Wait … are you guys related?”
As for McCain, she said that she is “skeptical of Musk and his intentions in general, as I am with anyone who claims to be coming to save us.”
