Meghan McCain Perhaps Prematurely Claims That ‘Last Night was the Final Nail in Trump’s Political Coffin’

Many are railing against former President Donald Trump as the midterm election results continue to roll in and predictably, some seem giddy.

Count former co-host of ABC’s “The View,” Meghan McCain, who has been a critic of Trump as she wrote an op-ed today for the Daily Mail.

McCain claimed, “Last night was the final nail in Trump’s political coffin – because too many of his suck-up duds lost an unlosable election.”

“Now is the moment for [Florida GOP Gov. Ron] DeSantis to take charge of the ship,” McCain declared.

Many believe that DeSantis has put himself atop the party now after he crushed his Democratic opponent Charlie Crist.

“President Trump is no kingmaker, in fact, he is the opposite. He seems to have a knack for picking losing candidates,” McCain insisted.

Many have predicted that GOP senate nominee Blake Masters is going to lose Arizona, but he is closing the gap quickly so that is not a foregone conclusion.

However, McCain chose to point out that “In Arizona, Democrat Mark Kelly is currently leading against Trump-endorsed Blake Masters.”

While many of the more moderate candidates did well, that wasn’t the case everywhere. As Trump pointed out in a Truth Social post, Colorado GOP senate nominee Joe O’Dea “lost BIG.”

O’Dea had separated himself from Trump towards the end of his campaign and was endorsed by DeSantis.

Many like McCain have declared Trump’s political demise multiple times in the past and so all those predicting it again should be prepared for him to find a way to stay on top.
