Utah Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” this morning and threw former President Donald Trump under the bus one more time.
During the interview with Jake Tapper asked Romney if the U.S. should stay and keep a presence until every American or Afghan ally is evacuated from the country, regardless of how long it takes.
Romney responded by telling Tapper that “Leaving Americans behind and leaving our Afghan friends behind who worked with us will put on us a moral stain.”
“This is the result of very infective decisions, terrible decisions made by the prior administration and the current administration. This did not have to happen, it was preventable,” Romney insisted.
Romney added, “Let me note that’s very different than the military… we didn’t have to be in this rush-rush circumstance with terrorists breathing down upon them.”
Tapper pushed back though, as Romney didn’t actually answer the question. He then asked again, if they should stay there or not.
Romney then reiterated his previous words before stating that “most likely” we would have to get them out, but that was a decision for the “commanders on the ground.”
Trump supporter “Faerie Queene” said of the exchange, “Romney is full blown traitor.”

It is par for the course that Romney would go on CNN and give the liberals red meat to use against Trump, even though he believes that he is being fair by criticizing Biden too.
No solutions were offered by him, however, on how to make the situation better and he sounded like someone who is still bitter from his loss to former President Barack Obama.
