U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has trashed and dashed U.S. Rep Jerry Nadler’s (D-NY) hope for packing the U.S. Supreme court. In a recent story it is being reported that although Pelosi may not be ruling the idea of packing the SCOTU altogether, which is still a scary thought, the bill being pushed by Nadler and others appears to be dead on arrival.
Pelosi said Thursday she has “no plans” to bring a Democratic-led bill to expand the Supreme Court to the House floor for a vote. “No. I support the president’s commission to study such a proposal, but frankly I’m not — right now, we’re back, our members, our committees are working. We’re putting together the infrastructure bill and the rest,” opined Pelosi.
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea or a bad idea. I think it’s an idea that should be considered and I think the president’s taking the right approach to have a commission to study such a thing. It’s a big step,” she also added. The scary part she said, although at least the can is being kicked down the road, is:
“It’s not out of the question. It has been done before in the history of our country a long time ago. And the growth of our country, the size of our country, the growth of our challenges in terms of the economy, etc., might necessitate such a thing.”
CSPAN reported:
“.@SpeakerPelosi on if she supports @RepJerryNadler‘s bill to expand the Supreme Court by four seats: “No. I support the president’s commission to study such a proposal…I have no plans to bring it to the floor. No.”

Previously Nadler’s confidence may have let him get a little bit ahead of himself when he recently said:
“Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) speaking at a press conference on Capitol Hill on his bill to expand the Supreme Court by 4 seats: “Some people will say we’re packing the court — we’re not packing it, we’re unpacking it.”

It’s a temporary sign of relief for Republicans here, but clearly, this issue isn’t going away. Meanwhile, D.C. statehood and even Reparations are trying to make their way into House bills if the Dems have their way, so this looks like it might be one down, two to go, in regards to radical crazy left-wing ideas that could change the nation forever.

Contray to the SCOTUS bill, it does appear Pelosi is all about D.C. statehood:
“Residents of DC pay taxes, serve in uniform and contribute to the economic power of our nation while being deprived of full enfranchisement. The sacred right to vote & have a voice in our government is a core pillar of our freedom. It’s time to finally grant #DCStatehood.”
