Following the red wave that hit Virginia and New Jersey in yesterday’s elections, many are predicting that it could be a preview of what is to come in 2022.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich shared a video of Vice President Kamala Harris during a speech in Norfolk, VA prior to the election where she claimed that the outcome of the election in the state would do just that.
In the clip, Harris can be seen declaring that, “What happens in Virginia, will in large part determine, what happens in 2022, 2024, and On.”
“On this rare occasion, I’ll agree with her,” Gingrich admitted.

Yesterday afternoon, Harris said in a tweet, “There’s so much stake in the Virginia and New Jersey elections today—we need every eligible voter to make their voice heard.”
“Make no mistake: every single voice counts. Find your polling place at http://IWillVote.com,” Harris urged.

Harris hasn’t tweeted out about the results, however, or whether or not she still believes they will decide future elections.
Verified Twitter user, Ram, suggested tongue-in-cheek that “Kamala Harris to shortly issue a statement saying ‘What happens in Virginia stays in Virginia’.”
