U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) mocked NPR today over news that the nonprofit media organization announced the creation of a “disinformation team.”
In a viral tweet, Boebert reported, “NPR just announced the creation of a DISINFORMATION TEAM.”
“NPR deliberately covered up the Hunter Biden laptop story by labeling it a DISTRACTION,” Boebert declared.
Boebert then suggested that “NPR’s first target needs to be itself.”
Triggered leftists descended on the tweet including one who claimed, “Trust me. You spread more disinformation than NPR who is quite literally one of the most well researched news locations.”

NPR reported on Friday that in a note to newsroom staff, Terence Samuel, VP and Executive Editor and Nancy Barnes, SVP of News and Editorial Director announced that it was launching a “Disinformation Reporting team.”
In the announcement, the organization listed four “journalists” who would make up the team, including one new arrival from member station WABE in Atlanta.
Boebert wasn’t the only one to mock the organization as the Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway did as well in a quote tweet yesterday of NPR’s Casey Morell.
Morell shared the report in a tweet and declared, “Some great company news: we’re launching a disinformation team.”
Hemingway shot back in the quote tweet, “What are you talking about? You’ve been little other than a disinformation team for many years.
