Former Republican U.S. House Speaker and running mate for failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan is gushing over Nancy Pelosi.
At one point in modern history, many Republicans thought Ryan was a smart, budding, rising star within the Republican Party. Ryan was all about fiscal conservatism and was a good, articulate speaker.
But since he became more of a swamp dweller as many America First conservatives would call him, Ryan has not been seen as a great conservative. Ryan has been a critic of former President Donald Trump’s, and now he is going on record, gushing over someone who conservatives have sparred with politically for many decades.
This lends credence to the idea that many politicians don’t care about either side anywhere near as much as they care about themselves, and advancing their own fame and careers.
Ryan “tipped his cap” for Pelosi as she leaves her position of leadership, while most other Republicans are more than likely glad to see her stepping down.
“I tip my cap as I welcome @speakerpelosi to the former speaker’s club and congratulate her on a historic career in the House.”

It seems that when Donald Trump reinvented the GOP, many wanted to stay behind with the old one, and since that barely exists, they’re moving further and further leftward instead, sometimes seemingly into the arms of the Democrat party.
