Speaking to reporters today at a press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fired back at critics and the salon owner after she was caught on video without a mask getting a blow-out at a shuttered hair salon.
When asked about the incident, Pelosi said that “she has been there many times.” She said that “it was a setup” and that she took responsibility for “for falling for a setup.”
Pelosi also stated that she believes that the salon owes her “an apology” for setting her up in response to another question. She then said that “in fairness” and “sympathetic” to the owner, “we have to get this country moving again.”
The House Judiciary GOP Twitter account fired back a response to Pelosi after hearing the news of her accusation, saying “Instead of blaming others, Speaker Pelosi should take responsibility for her actions. But she won’t because she doesn’t actually care about working class Americans. Terrible leadership.”

But she won’t because she doesn’t actually care about working class Americans.
Terrible leadership.https://t.co/x62J9jTory
Pelosi also claimed that she has been “inundated by people who are in the hair industry saying, thank you for calling attention to this, we need to get back to work. We need to get back to work. Many of them annoyed with the setup that was there for a purpse that has nothing to do with ending the crisis.”
