While holding a press conference today in East Palestine, Ohio, Biden transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg inexplicably lost his “train of thought.”
It is unclear if Buttigieg was trying to be funny when he made the statement while he was discussing “misinformation” but given that he was in town due to a train disaster, it would have been quite the Freudian slip if not.
Buttigieg was discussing the situation when he told reporters, “sorry I lost my train of thought… um.”

Twitter users blasted Buttigieg with memes and gifs in response to a clip of his blunder that was shared by Townhall.

Buttigieg told reporters in response to why he didn’t come sooner that he “felt strongly about this and could have expressed that sooner” adding that he didn’t want “process” to distract from “fundamental questions of rail safety regulation and accountability.”
As we previously reported, Tulsi Gabbard has been on the ground in East Palestine, Ohio for the last couple of days and she applauded the resilience of the local residents.
âThey are feeling like they have been forgotten, left behind, and begging for help,â Gabbard noted while describing the situation.
Gabbard said that âIt points to the bigger problem that I see here, how the people here in East Palestine and other communities across the country are viewed by those in the Biden administration as though they are some kind of annoyance.â
âOk gosh, Secretary Buttigieg, finally ok Iâve got to go now because people are complaining that I didnât show up,â Gabbard mocked.
