The U.S. Department of Transportation, headed by Pete Buttigieg, was ridiculed after tweeting a cringe meme yesterday attempting to promote President Joe Biden’s spending agenda.
In the meme, it shows a conversation between a man and a woman, who begins by asking the man, “What are you thinking about?”
The man responds, “I’m thinking about the new infrastructure law is going to make getting from place to place so much better over the next decade and how when combined with the Build Back Better act, it will create millions of new jobs.”
“Same,” the woman responds with a smiley face emoji.
Space Pope Kenny responded to the tweet by telling the U.S. DOT that he “fixed” the meme for them.
He replaced the part where the man responded with, “I’m thinking about how pork-laden monstrosities known as the infrastructure bill and the Build Back Better are going to exacerbate inflation and further burden taxpayers while also shoveling money into the pockets of government cronies.”

Twitter page “Defiant L’s” quipped, “What a humiliation.”
What a humiliation.

Another Twitter user echoed the replacement meme and said, “Inflation from (overspending) by the Government is going eat up any benefits this would bring! We are at a time in history (where) the Government needs to only spend what is necessary to keep it open and close parts that are redundant.”
A “#TeamPeteForever” Twitter user attempted to defend Biden’s agenda by responding, “America’s infrastructure repair and maintenance has been neglected and deferred for decades, and as any accountant can tell you, deferred maintenance is a form of debt. Time to pay those debts.”
That response was also ridiculed greatly, including by “Politically homeless” Twitter user Mike Murphy who told them, “Our federal and state taxes were supposed to be used all along to upkeep our infrastructure, but apparently not.”
“So now they want $5T more of taxpayer money with the promise that they will get it right this time?” Murphy inquired.
Our federal and state taxes were supposed to be used all along to upkeep our infrastructure, but apparently not. So now they want $5T more of taxpayer money with the promise that they will get it right this time?
