Michigan House Rep. and member of “The Squad” Rashida Tlaib was furious earlier when the Wayne County Board of Canvassers was deadlocked on a decision to certify the votes for the November election.
Not long after however, Tlaib tweeted out that the decision had been reversed. “Our people are amazing. Hundreds of Wayne County residents waited hours to give public comment,” she gushed.
Tlaib added that “One after the other demanded our democracy is upheld and the Board of Wayne County Canvassers came back and voted unanimously to certify.”

Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer had also sprang into action following the decision, releasing a statement that “the Board of State of Canvassers” would “now have to finish the job.”
Whitmer had “every expectation” that they would “certify the results” for Joe Biden “when the job” was done.

Whitmer also appeared on MSNBC’s “The Reid Out” with Joy Reid and she shared a clip from the show where she was speaking about the situation.
She claimed that “The two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers refusing to approve the election results in Wayne County is a blatant attempt to undermine the will of the voters.”
