Ahead of a major announcement from former President Trump tonight, that many hope will be about a 2024 presidential run, Ron DeSantis, the recently re-elected Republican Florida Governor took some questions and spoke at a presser.
Someone asked what he thought of recent potshots Trump took at him. DeSantis didn’t completely back down or say nothing to push back. He mentioned looking at the “scorecard” from the last midterm election without going into details.
However, he largely did not take the media bait to directly attack Donald Trump. Many want DeSantis to run for president in 2024 too, others want him to wait until 2028. DeSantis himself has stayed largely quiet about it.
Behind the scenes, things may be different, however, which might have something to do with Trump’s recent Truth Social posts about him. Watch:
Tonight’s announcement from Trump may change the game. Meanwhile, some want DeSantis to replace Trump as the leader of the right wing movement.
Others however think Trump is owed more after the Russian investigation and whistleblower investigation robbed him of much of his time during term one in their view. Stay tuned for more.
