Ron DeSantis recently spoke to the newly pro-Trump Megyn Kelly. The full interview will air tomorrow. In teaser, Kelly asks if DeSantis would pardon Donald Trump if he were to ever become president.
While his answer seemingly leans towards a yes, he doesn’t directly say yes. He then goes on to insult Donald Trump’s age.
“Would you commit to pardoning” Trump, asks @MegynKelly. “I don’t think it would be good for the country to have an almost 80-year-old former president go to prison,” says Gov. @RonDeSantis. FULL 50-minute interview airs tomorrow at NoonET. Subscribe:“
It’s likely that DeSantis defenders will say this was a fair enough answer. Some what say we need to wait for the full interview for more context.
Trump supporters may see it as a double swipe however. Many feel DeSantis wants Trump to go to jail to clear the way for his run instead.
It will be interesting to see how Trump comes out with all the phony charges against him. Meanwhile, he remains willing almost all primary polls for the presidential race.
Earlier, DeSantis supporter Ken Cuccinelli was grilled and embarrassed by Matt Gaetz:

So happy to see Ron’s continuing demise in the polls, because:
1) He backstabbed the person who most affected the outcome of his first winning governorship—Trump
2) His backers are the worst of the RINOs from hell…
3) He is too cozy with Dominion Voting Machine attorneys
4) He backstabbed Florida voters by running for governor, then getting legislators to change the law so he could spend his time running a dud campaign instead of focusing on the state that made him governor.
5) He used Trump supporters’ money given to him for the governor’s race to run against their candidate of choice for presidentm
6) He has Simba Syndrome…”He just couldn’t wait to be king.”
