Much speculation has been made of what President Trump’s personal attorney, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s role has been as it relates the Ukraine anti-corruption narrative that has been bubbling up. This, of course, is because of the whistleblower who claimed that a July 25th phone call President Trump had with Ukranian President Zelinsky showed improprieties that could lead people to believe President Trump was trying to pressure Ukraine into doing his bidding by withholding critical foreign aid.
President Trump claims he wanted to root out corruption as a whole, including and not limited to finding out why Hunter Biden was sitting on the board of the corrupt Ukrainian gas company known as Burisma. In a shocking clip from Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle”, Giuliani reveals why he pressured former Ambassador Yovanovitch out of her position.
“It’s easy to get lost with all of the twists and the turns in the “Ukraine-gate” saga and a lot of you just have tuned it out. But no matter what road you go down, they all lead back to one person, Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani”. This is how Laura kicked off the segment before she introduces Rudy himself onto the show. “What is your reaction to all of these critics who say Rudy’s gotta stop while he’s behind? They don’t even say ahead, they’re so critical!” Laura asks. Rudy, chuckling as he begins with his bit, seems very confident and somewhat amused.
“Maybe they don’t believe that in fact there was substantial corruption going on in the Ukraine for years” He fires off. He goes onto summarize and detail what he has to say about the situation as a whole as you can see if you watch the entire clip. The main takeaway here though is when he starts to talk about former Ambassador Yovanovitch and Joe and Hunter Biden. Joe Biden, of course, is the former Vice President to Barack Obama and is running for president himself in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries.
When Ingraham brings up allegations that Giuliani “needed Yovanovitch “out of the way”, he retorts, “Of course I did! I didn’t need her out of the way, I forced her out because she’s corrupt!” He goes to shock Ingraham and the viewers, “I came back with a document that will show, unequivocally, that she committed perjury, when she said that she turned down the visa for Mr. Shokin because of corruption. The fact is, on the record, in the State Department’s own records, the reason given is because he had had an operation, hadn’t recovered yet. The operation, of course, was two years before. There’s documentary evidence that she committed perjury. I have four witnesses who will testify, that she personally turned down their visas, because they were going to come here and give evidence, either against Biden or against the Democratic Party. There’s no question that she was acting corruptly in that position and had to be removed.”
The banter goes on below in the video:
This opens up a new twist and many speculate that Rudy’s timing, before President Trump’s impeachment hearing is about to head to the U.S. Senate, was purposeful. The coming days will likely shine a lot more light on this and much more about this rabbit hole that is “Ukraine-gate” as Ingraham puts it.
