Rumors are currently swirling that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will step down if a red wave hits in the midterm elections.
One name that is being floated as a possible replacement is her daughter Christine Pelosi, who hasn’t been elected to office before but is a recognized face in San Francisco.
It is also being floated that state Sen. Scott Wiener, an activist who is also seen as a moderate, might try to win Pelosi’s seat, according to multiple reports.
Christine Pelosi was recently mentioned by U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) after her father Paul Pelosi was attacked.
Paul declared that “No one deserves to be assaulted. Unlike Nancy Pelosi’s daughter who celebrated my assault, I condemn this attack and wish Mr. Pelosi a speedy recovery.”
That statement by Paul came in a quote tweet of journalist Caleb Hull, who had reported on Twitter’s removal of Christine’s outrageous tweet in March 2020.

POLITICO reported that Christine, a Democratic activist who has served as a surrogate for her mother, is widely expected to pursue the seat if it opens.
While Christine has made no public statements that could even be construed as an acknowledgment of her intentions, she regularly comments on social media and is active in Democratic Party affairs, POLITICO noted.
Max Szabo, a San Francisco-based Democratic consultant, appeared to be predicting an upcoming move by Nancy as he said that “Given the fact that these positions don’t have term limits, and given the ATM that is San Francisco, this is going to be a brawl.”
“No one is going to leave anything on the field,” Szabo added.
