You may have heard some songs by Sara Bareilles such as Brave, where she sings,
“Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave”.
Refresh your memory:
Well, Bareilles doesn’t really want you to say what you want to say. She only wants you to say what she wants you to say. Since Elon Musk is going to actually stand up for what she sang about, and let you actually say what you want to say within reason, (that’s his plan anyway), she isn’t down for that. Bareilles will be leaving Twitter for other platforms she announced.
Her Twitter bio, which proudly proclaims “Black Lives Matter” is still there. But her tweet announcing her Twitter boycott is the last one up for now, anyway. We will see if Bareilles (and other leftists claiming to leave Twitter) makes good on her threat to boycott Twitter if we happen to remember to bother and check at some point in the foreseeable future.
Elon Musk doesn’t want radical rhetoric from either side. But he wants rules applied fairly. He wants people who make a mistake to be given more chances and not necessarily permanently suspended it seems.
It’s amazing liberals actors and singers like Bareilles didn’t speak out about Antifa members on Twitter who organized dangerous riots. It seems people have selective viewership when they watch their selective news channels instead of seeing the big picture.
Bareilles made the announcement in a tweet where she declared, “Welp. It’s been fun Twitter. I’m out. See you on other platforms, peeps. Sorry, this one’s just not for me.”
According to her profile page, Bareilles created her profile on the platform in May 2007 and she has over 2.8 million followers.
Bareilles is also active on Facebook and Instagram, although she has fewer followers on both platforms with 1.7 million on Facebook and less than 1 million followers on Instagram.
On Facebook, Bareilles still has a link to her Twitter account as well as a link to her website and her Instagram page.
A recent post from Bareilles announced that Season 3 of a show that she stars in on Netflix, Girls5eva is premiering soon.
Welp. It’s been fun Twitter. I’m out. See you on other platforms, peeps. Sorry, this one’s just not for me. ❤️🙏🏼

Welp. It’s been fun Bareilles. Won’t be seeing you on the other platforms or listening to your music anymore. Sorry, anyone against free speech is not for me.
