Alec Baldwin’s daughter, Ireland Baldwin, 24, shared on Instagram photos of her bruised face, stating that she had been robbed and attacked yesterday.
Baldwin described the attack, saying, “She decked me in my face in a parking lot and took my belongings and jumped in a getaway car while her husband took off. All was sorted with the police and she was arrested. Luckily I had witnesses and got assisted really quickly.”
From USA Today:
Baldwin added that she was told by police that incidents of similar nature have been occurring more frequently.
“People are desperate for money right now due to Coronavirus and people being out of work,” she wrote. “There is a lot of theft and muggings going down.”
She shared her experience in hopes of reminding her followers to be careful and aware of their surroundings. “These are really difficult times and we need to look out for one another,” she added.
Baldwin has been critical of President Trump and his response to the Coronavirus. In June she retweeted a post where he said deaths from the virus were down and she claimed that “like absolutely none of this is even true haha who’s job is it to fact check this guy?”

Earlier this week, she was pictured in Malibu, California with her uncle Stephen Baldwin wading into the Pacific. It’s unclear if that was the city where the attack happened.
