Stuntman Robbie Knievel, Son of Evel Knievel, Passes Away After a Battle With Cancer

It has been reported that stuntman Robbie Knievel, son of Evel Knievel, has passed away after a battle with cancer at 60 years old.

Reporter Josh Benson said that a family source of Knievel told him that he had been in hospice care for the last few days prior to his passing.

One fan of Knieval, who followed in his father’s footsteps, shared a video of him when he jumped his bike over the entire field at an IndyCar race.

“Robbie Knievel made three jumps at the IndyCar race at Texas,” the Twitter user noted.

Former President of Texas Motor Speedway, Eddie Gossage, offered some insight into the situation surrounding Knievel’s death in a tweet and offered a touching message.

“My friend Robbie Knievel died today. I got a text telling me he was in a coma a few days ago & would pass soon,” Gossage explained in the tweet where he also shared a picture of the two.

Gossage added, “He had a sweet heart & a great laugh. I had a memorable dinner in Indy one night that included Rob & Florence Henderson. I will miss Robbie. Happy landings, my friend.”

Knievel also performed a Grand Canyon bike jump and the “official” Evel Knievel Twitter account shared a picture from that jump in a tweet marking his passing.

“A Great Daredevil has Died Robbie Knievel May 7, 1962 – January 13, 2023,” the tweet announced.
