Greg Abbott spoke to the media yesterday in a video posted on Rumble in an article by the Conservative Treehouse. In the video, the Republican Governor of Texas alluded to actions he may take based on the Biden Border Crisis, and how it is affecting children. He also mentioned how it is affecting Texas specifically and some very unorthodox plans he has of trying to do something about it.
“Earlier today, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, separately received tips that allege child abuse and neglect at the federal government’s child and migrant facility, at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio behind me.” Begins Abbott in his alarming speech.
“These problems are a byproduct of President Biden’s open border policies, and the lack of planning for the fallout from those disastrous policies”… We can’t argue with Abbott thus far, although he hasn’t been good on other things lately, such as free speech and his anti-Gab stance. Nevertheless, someone needs to do something about this southern border disaster in our view, that is affecting border states, and our entire nation, in a major way.
Abbott continued to highlight that children at the facility are being sexually assaulted, there are not enough staff to supervise, some children are not eating, and some with Covid-19 are not being separated from ones without it. He went on to call it a “health and safety nightmare” and called for the Biden Administration to “immediately shut down this facility”.
“…While we wait on the Biden Administration to act, I am directing the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Rangers, to immediately begin investigating these allegations. That investigation will be headed by Richard Henderson, he is the Senior Texas Ranger Lieutenant, taking the DPS lead on this investigation…”
He went on to say that the Biden Administration caused this crisis and continued to further lambaste President Biden, saying the he “must act now”.

Today Texas Governor Greg Abbott demanded Joe Biden close the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio where 1,300 children are being housed, and numerous reports of sexual assault are ongoing. In addition, Governor Abbott has instructed the Texas Rangers to immediately begin an investigation of the facility and the claims of child sexploitation amid the vulnerable minors. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) did not immediately respond to questions after Abbott’s announcement.
