On “The View” yesterday, Joy Behar questioned who Meghan McCain was going to vote for while the two were discussing Mike Bloomberg’s surge in recent polls. A video clip ends with McCain saying, “you guys have done a piss-poor job of convincing me to vote for a Democrat.”
Behar begins by accusing President Trump of racism, saying, “He said that removing Confederate monuments was trying to take away our history, this is Trump, he belittled the Black Lives movement, he questioned whether Barack Obama was…” At that point, McCain interjects, “I’m not defending Trump because I’m attacking Bloomberg.”
Behar then asks, “Well who are you, what are you saying? Who are you going to vote for? You’re not going to vote for a democrat, so who are you going to vote for?” McCain responds, saying, “I’m saying that your shiny sparkly guy who is surging right now which by the way everybody surges in primary politics I remember when Gingrich did, and Herman Cain did every candidate surges at one point or another.”
Behar continues to accuse President Trump of racism by saying, “He still thinks the central park five are guilty.” McCain goes on the offense at this point, saying, “You know what, I just think it’s so interesting that you have a problem that we are talking about a candidate the way we would any other candidate he just happens to be at the top getting the attention right now which is why we are talking about it right now, what am I supposed to be giving Bloomberg a pass? Not on this show, not with this host”
The audience showers McCain with applause for taking her stand, but Behar doesn’t back down and asks again, “I’d like to know who you are going to vote for? Who are you voting for?” McCain is defiant, and says, “Who I vote for, is none of your business, but I’m not voting for Trump and I’m sure as hell not voting for Bloomberg.”
Behar then shoots back, “So then you’re not gonna vote. You’re not voting for Trump and you’re not voting for a Democrat, you said that already.” The program then heads into a break with McCain saying, “You guys have done a piss-poor job of convincing me to vote for a Democrat.”
Today, the View did an interview with AOC, who came on the show to stump for Bernie Sanders. When McCain asked if Democratic voters could be more comfortable with a moderate candidate compared to the self-described democratic socialist senator, AOC responded, “The majority of Americans would vote for Bernie Sanders and that’s because of his record.”

Later on in the interview, AOC appeared to take shots at President Trump, Bloomberg, and the system by saying, “Our entire political system revolves around, frankly, around rich men, and rich men are not the center of my universe. Working families are.”
“For young people, for women, for people of color, it’s not particularly welcoming," @AOC told @TheView co-hosts when asked about why some are triggered by her rise in politics. “And historically to have someone like that ascend… it’s upending.” https://t.co/oEHVRqDGEK pic.twitter.com/kQlbmprHNm
