In a recent speech that President Trump made at a Turning Point USA conference, Trump branded Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the leader of ‘The Squad’ with a new term ‘AOC+3’. ‘The Squad’ is four far-left congresswomen including AOC, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.
One might speculate if he is doing this to cause AOC some tension within the gang, and possibly Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as well. Pelosi has had her own tensions with AOC lately as many have noted that AOC has somewhat stolen the spotlight from Pelosi after Pelosi said “a glass of water” could be elected in her district for the Democrat party. Those tensions have been stoked by the recent fame of ‘The Squad’, but now Pelosi says “there was never any hatchet to bury” implying that things are fine between herself and Cortez.
These developments could lead people to believe President Trump is correct when he says the radicals like AOC are indeed running the party since Pelosi has appeared to do a 180 on her criticisms of these women.
Getting back to ‘The Squad’, Ayanna Pressley definitely is a new addition to the bunch. But Tlaib, the Rep from Michigan, and definitely Ilhan Omar from Minnesota, are pretty big in the news. Will they all fall in line behind AOC as the new leader? Will Ilhan Omar wonder why she didn’t get the brand by the president?
These are the tricks used often in politics to pit people against each other and although it may seem like a minor detail, people with narcissist complexes take these types of ‘brandings’ seriously, even from people they hate. ‘The Squad’ may not like President Trump, but they definitely care what he has to say as their efforts to paint him in a negative light are the entire reason why they have risen to fame in the first place. In the clip below you can see one of the first times this nickname of ‘AOC+3’ was used.

In an even more recent instance, President Trump released a brand new video on his Facebook page detailing his opinions in detail on the entire ‘gang’ and continuing to push the AOC +3 narrative. You can see that video below.
