Well in our perspective, this story only goes to show that no matter what President Trump does, the left won’t like it, which perhaps should lead to another lesson for the people advising President Trump on matters such as this, “stop virtue signaling, it doesn’t work”.
The Lt. Gov. of New York, Democrat Kathy Hochul spoke at a press conference, just to try and keep President Trump from getting this tiny minute little win.
She seems to think that by President Trump doing this he is solidifying her place in history as a criminal and is doing it for nefarious purposes. Now, why would a president who needs all the women voting for him that he can conjure up do something like that? You decide. News 8 WROC reports:
“I was deeply troubled to learn that Trump went ahead and treated her like a criminal,” From the Susan B. Anthony House, the lieutenant governor said they are demanding the president rescind his pardon. #ROC“

Lt. Gov. Hochul separately tweeted out a demand that Trump rescinds his pardon because she never paid her fine and wants her to be left to rest in peace. Hochul spoke on her own behalf as far as we know, but it would certainly be interesting if Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) had anything to do with this, although that is merely speculation on our part. See tweet:
“As highest-ranking woman elected official in New York and on behalf of Susan B. Anthony’s legacy we demand Trump rescind his pardon. She was proud of her arrest to draw attention to the cause for women’s rights, and never paid her fine. Let her Rest In Peace, @realDonaldTrump.”

Rochester First reported in part:
After President Donald Trump said he would pardon Susan B. Anthony for her crime of voting in 1872, Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul said she was “deeply troubled.”
Anthony is best known for her role in the movement to secure voting rights for women.
Trump said Tuesday he would sign “a full and complete pardon” on Tuesday, the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which ensured women the right to vote. It’s also known as the Susan B. Anthony Amendment.
“I was deeply troubled to learn that Trump went ahead and treated her like a criminal,” Hochul said. “Susan B. Anthony was guilty of nothing.”
