Earlier today, we reported that former President Trump was scheduled to appear on multiple networks this evening, following the passing of conservative icon Rush Limbaugh.
During a phone interview with Greg Kelly on Newsmax, Trump ridiculed Twitter for banning him and that he has heard that the social media site has “become very boring” since.
A clip of the interview begins with Trump saying that they “really wanted” him on Parler and that he had “89 million” people following him and suggested that he could have had more if they weren’t “holding him back.”
Trump pointed out that he also had 36 million people ono his POTUS account and that it was about “as big as it gets.” As for Parler, he said that “mechanically” they couldn’t handle having him on the site because it would be inundated.
“I’ll tell you it’s not the same, if you look at what’s going on with Twitter. I understand it’s become very boring and millions of people are leaving, they’re leaving it because it’s not the same and I can understand that,” Trump stated.
Trump explained that he was “negotiating with a number of people” and that there was “the other option of building your own site.”
As for the situation prior to the ban, Trump was critical of the fact that he was being “flagged” all the time and that it was “disgraceful.”
Trump also pointed out that “other foreign countries” are “saying the worse things possible” with no repercussions.
