Trump supporter Kid Rock released a new anti-mandate song and accompanying music today called, “Don’t tell me how to live.”
The song is the first that has been released by the artist, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, since the end of March 2020, when he released his first single under the name “DJ Bobby Shazam” entitled “Quarantine.”
In a tweet, Kid Rock shared a picture of the cover for the single, which shows the Statue of Liberty with a mask on its face.

While the new single has a hard rock sound, that song had an old-school hip-hop sound and he stated that all proceeds from the single’s sales would go to fight COVID-19.
In September of 2020, the musician joined Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle for a rally for the then-president in Michigan.
One month later, he appeared at one of the presidential debates and “seemed flummoxed” after being told to wear masks by members of the Debate Commission.
Musician An0maly tweeted out a clip of the music video for the song and said, “Kid Rock just dropped a new music video. He’s definitely not a liberal,” along with a laughing face emoji.
Trump-supporting rapper Patriot J quote tweeted An0maly and told him, “Kid Rock lowkey the OG MAGA rapper,” adding a laughing face emoji as well.
