Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele today downplayed the indictment of former President and 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump.
In a tweet, Steele claimed that the “GOP is coming” for you first. The declaration came after Republicans voted to expel Dem Rep Justin Jones from the state House.
Jones was one of three Democrat reps who led the storming of the state House by gun control protesters last week.
“What just happened in Tennessee is reprehensible. Republicans expelled Rep. Justin Jones @brotherjones_ because he stood with his constituents against gun violence,” Steele reported.
Steele then insisted, “All that BS from GOP about “coming for Trump, coming for you”, well here’s the truth: the GOP is coming 4u first.”

All that BS from GOP about "coming for Trump, coming for you", well here's the truth: the GOP is coming 4u first.
NUMB3Rs co-creator Nicolas Falacci responded to Steele and told him, “We watch this stuff and wonder how the @GOP can ever hope to attract coalition or plurality of voters — — and the @GOP laughs and says, ‘Voters? We don’t need no stinking voters!'”
Steele, who endorsed Joe Biden for president in 2020, replied, “It has been a struggle inside the GOP for a long time.”
“Many of us have made (and still attempt to make) your point: the strength of Democracy is its plurality, and the strength of political parties lies in how much they embrace that plurality,” Steele claimed.
Steele added, “GOP craps on that with this action.”
