In perhaps one of the most spectacular failures thus far of Joe Biden’s presidency, it was announced today that the U.S. has broken the record for daily COVID cases after he had promised to “shut down the virus” during his campaign.
Twitter user “Defiant L’s” posted a graphic that summed up the failure by Biden with a tweet from October 30, 2020 where he made the promise.
“I’m not going to shut down the country. I’m not going to shut down the economy. I’m going to shut down the virus,” Biden promised at the time.
Flash forward to today, MSNBC’s Kyle Griffin tweeted, “The U.S. just broke the record for daily coronavirus cases on Tuesday. “
“The seven-day average of U.S. cases topped 267,000 on Tuesday, according to the NYT,” Griffin added.

Liberals quickly descended on the tweet in an attempt to downplay the news.
Twitter user “Mikenstein” claimed that conservatives being upset about the news is the equivalent of, “Arsonists crying about firefighters not putting out fires.”

Another Twitter user “Jennifer” responded, “Join the rest of the world. It’s everywhere….and since Americans won’t get vaccinated it’s worse.”

Biden tweeted out yesterday about the virus, “COVID-19 booster shots increase antibody levels by more than 20x — providing a high degree of protection against severe illness with Omicron. Get your shot today, folks.”
