A recently unearthed tweet shows that the incoming White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed in 2020 that Brian Kemp “stole the Gubernatorial election from Georgians and Stacy Abrams.”
The tweet from Jean-Pierre was published on April 2, 2020, which was seven months prior to the November 2020 presidential election.
Jean-Pierre shared an article about how Kemp “admitted” at the time that he didn’t know asymptomatic people could pass COVID-19.
That was about a month from when the virus first began to show up in the U.S. and now it has been over two years.
“Reminder: Brian Kemp stole the gubernatorial election from Georgians and Stacey Abrams,” Jean-Pierre declared in the tweet.
U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) quote tweeted Jean-Pierre today and said of her claim, “Interesting!”

As Fox news noted, Abrams, who announced in December that she would take another shot at running for Georgia governor, has also repeatedly claimed that the election was “stolen” from Georgia voters and never conceded her loss to Kemp.
Abrams, the former Georgia House Democratic leader, alleged that Kemp, who oversaw the election in his role as secretary of state, engaged in voter suppression, even though she has admitted she has “no empirical evidence” to prove it, the outlet added in the report.
Kamala Harris congratulated Jean-Pierre last week on her new appointment in a tweet where she said, “Congratulations Karine on making history as our next White House press secretary.”
“I am looking forward to seeing you behind the podium. You are going to do great, @KJP46,” Harris insisted.
