A recent mailer sent out by the Bob Good campaign in Virginia’s Fifth District accuses his opponent, Congressman Denver Riggleman of “selling out to the AFL-CIO, Wall Street, & Big Tech.”
The Good campaign says that the 5th District Congressman has “gone swamp” and is “for sale to the highest bidder.” They say that he has taken $1,015,579.47 in special interest cash.

Browsing through the campaign receipts for Riggleman, it shows that he has taken $1,000 from the American Postal Workers Union AFL-CIO Philadelphia, PA area local committee/political action. The AFL-CIO endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in 2016.
Looking through the rest of the receipts it shows that he has received many donations from different banks and big tech as well as the Koch brothers and Dominion Energy.
Recently, Riggleman appeared in a Politico article talking about how he provided attendees of his first online fundraiser with samples of bourbon from his family’s distillery. Riggleman said at the time, “Virtual fundraising with alcohol isn’t such a bad thing.” He was the only Republican featured in the article.
Riggleman’s campaign sent a letter out on May 12th highlighting what he called corruption within the Fifth Congressional District. Good called the letter nothing but a smear tactic.
