Security cam footage from a restaurant in New Jersey show a waitress being kidnapped while attempting to stop patrons from committing a dine and dash.
The Washington Township Police Department is now on the hunt for the suspects and have released pictures that show the suspects inside the Nifty Fifties restaurant.
ABC 6 Action News reporter Katie Katro shared the report that she gave on the situation on her Facebook which included the video of the abduction.

Many respondents were upset about the situation and offered various opinions with many remarking about how it happened over the newly put in place Juneteenth holiday weekend.
Twitter user “LZ” noted, “It’s their holiday weekend, how rude of her to expect them to pay their bill let alone leave a reasonable tip.”

One respondent though, criticized the waitress for chasing after her, as did the police chief, who urged, “Do not chase after accused suspects and confront them yourselves.”
“$70 isn’t worth your life,” Twitter user “JD” claimed.

The problem, of course, is that often these employees are expected to pay for the meal if this happens, in addition to losing out on the tip.
Another Twitter user, “KweenAmethyst,” suggested that someone else, like the owner or manager should pay in these situations instead and asked, “Why she feel like she had to chase them down is the question? Would she have to pay if she just told the manager? And if so that’s fukd up!”

ABC 6 Action News reported:
Police say the waitress was taken away in a vehicle and assaulted after she confronted a group who allegedly tried to leave without paying for their meal.
Surveillance video obtained exclusively by Action News shows the horrifying moment the waitress was abducted.
“They pulled her into the vehicle and assaulted her inside the vehicle,” said Washington Township Police Chief Patrick Gurcsik.
Police said the 20-year-old waitress was chasing after a group of five people she waited on left without paying a $70 bill.
Video shows one person bolt out of the vehicle, and then the group drives away with the waitress inside.
“The vehicle headed north on Route 42, made a U-turn and was heading south towards Monroe Township, and pushed her out of the vehicle,” said Gurcsik.
Police said the woman was able to run back to the restaurant and call police. She was taken to a local hospital and has since been released.
Police say she suffered bruises and a possible concussion.
“They’re having trouble finding wait staff due to the pandemic and she came out to confront them,” said Gurcsik.
John Hill, an employee at the restaurant, told Action News he’s shocked.
“Say it ain’t so,” Hill said. “As an employee, that makes me feel bad. And mad.”
Customers who heard the news Sunday night were also shaken up.
“This is such a family restaurant; oh, this is crazy,” said Stacie Garris-Oliver of Lindenwold, New Jersey.
The suspects were last seen driving in a newer model white Dodge Durango on Rt. 42 south near Monroe Township.
Police said employees should try to take down the license plate of customers who dine without paying and call authorities.
“,” said Gurcsik.
