A fired up Wendy Rogers lashed out at U.S. Sen Susan Collins (R-ME) after the five-term senator announced that she will vote for Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Collins told the New York Times, “I have decided to support the confirmation of Judge Jackson to be a member of the Supreme Court.”
In a tweet, Rogers reported on the news, “Susan Collins is voting for Biden’s vile SCOTUS nominee.”
“Susan Collins is a communist and a traitor,” Rogers declared.

As the New York Post noted, Collins’ announcement removes the possibility of Kamala Harris becoming the first vice president to have to break a tie on a Supreme Court nomination.
Collins also told the Times that after meeting with Jackson yesterday, that she had been reassured she would not be “bending the law to meet a personal preference” while on the Supreme Court.
“In recent years, senators on both sides of the aisle have gotten away from what I perceive to be the appropriate process for evaluating judicial nominees,” Collins claimed.
Collins explained, “In my view, the role under the Constitution assigned to the Senate is to look at the credentials, experience and qualifications of the nominees.”
“It is not to assess whether a nominee reflects the individual’s ideology of a senator or would vote exactly as an individual senator would want,” Collins suggested.
It certainly doesn’t appear, however, that Democratic Senators adhered to such a principle with Justices Brett Kavanaugh or Amy Coney Barrett.
