Arizona GOP State Sen Wendy Rogers today showed her gratitude after a woman with a pistol stopped an alleged AR-15 wielding attacker in Charleston, West Virginia.
The attempted mass shooting by the alleged AR-15 wielding attacker was thwarted on Wednesday by a woman with a pistol, who shot him dead, according to local law enforcement.
Dennis Butler allegedly shot at dozens of people attending a graduation party near an apartment complex with an AR-15 rifle after being reprimanded for speeding.
The woman who was lawfully carrying the pistol was able to take Butler out and no injuries were reported from those at the party.
Rogers shared a Breitbart article on the situation and said, “Well done, ma’am.”

Charleston Police Department Chief of Detectives Tony Hazelett explained that the woman was not a member of law enforcement and that, “Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives last night.”
Hazelett also noted that Butler had an extensive criminal history in response to a question from a reporter.
The attempted mass shooting came the day after the Uvalde, Texas school shooting and Hazelett told a reporter that minors were present at the party.
