If you’re an unlikely Whoopi Goldberg fan and active Twitter aficionado simultaneously, today isn’t a great day for you.
After Kathy Griffin was suspended from Twitter for impersonating Elon Musk, many Democrats and Libertarians complained about it. Some agreed she broke an obvious Twitter rule. Others thought it was a “bad look”.
Still others didn’t dispute the details of what happened but are just furious that their favorite Trump hating “comedian” is no longer tweeting away. There appears to be a chance Musk may bring her back (“for $8”) but that hasn’t happened yet. See our earlier story:
Many have threatened to leave Twitter and not made good on it. It seems that Goldberg however, means business. As of our last check she has deleted or deactivated her account. See below:
Goldberg still has a large platform with “The View” and unlike Griffin, can come back anytime. (For “$8”) Rules for verified users are more stiff.
Having a “blue check” comes with more responsibility apparently. Griffin may have forgotten, or may not have been sure if Musk would enforce the rules against her.
