Last month, it was reported that customers who show a valid COVID-19 vaccination card at any Krispy Kreme could receive a free glazed doughnut each visit, through the remainder of 2021.
The week after that promotion began, Krispy Kreme announced another one where customers could get a free medium coffee and a free glazed doughnut every Monday through May 24.
The promotion is called, “Americans get their week off to a good start in these tough times.”
Progressive U.S. House Rep Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), who earns $174,000 per year representing her district, shared a picture of herself at a Krispy Kreme today, on a Monday, bragging about receiving a free donut due to her COVID-19 vaccine, although she could have gotten the free donut anyway.
“On my way down to DC, and I finally had time to stop by Krispy Kreme to get my free donut,” Maloney begins in the tweet.
Maloney then explains, “If you have received for full #COVID19 vaccine series, you can get a free donut too!”

In the picture, Maloney is seen wearing a mask, despite receiving the vaccine, as is the Krispy Kreme worker and another customer.
Yesterday, Maloney appeared on MSNBC to “explain why it is so important to get your #COVID19 vaccine” and she said that she could “talk all day about it!”
“Every single NYer 16+ is eligible for a vaccine,” Maloney urged and she suggested residents make an appointment and she provided a link.
Maloney also criticized U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) for expressing “lies” and “anti-science views” when grilling Dr. Anthony Fauci last week. She also claimed that we are “turning the corner,” despite a recent surge in cases.
Yesterday, I joined @LindseyReiser & @kendisgibson to explain why it is so important to get your #COVID19 vaccine. As Kendis pointed out, I can talk all day about it!
