AG Bill Barr spoke to Laura Ingraham last night on Fox News and went over some of the different things happening with the Justice Department right now. The focus was then put on the Durham investigation and Barr responded that he is “looking to bring” people “to justice.”
In felt like the “investigation into the campaign” and “the whole pattern of events” while President were to “sabotage the Presidency.”
Ingraham: What can you tell us about the state of John Durham’s investigation?
Barr: He is looking to bring to justice people who were engaged in abuses if he can show that they were criminal violations and that’s what the focus is on.
Building these cases, especially the sprawling case we have between us that went on for two or three years here, it takes some time to build the case. So he’s diligently pursuing it.
My own view is that the evidence shows that we are not dealing with mistakes or sloppiness, there is something far more troubling here and we’re going to get to the bottom of it.
If people broke the law and we can establish that with the evidence, they will be prosecuted.
Ingraham: The President is very frustrated. Andrew McCabe and others were basically able to flout laws without impunity.
Barr: I think the President has every right to be frustrated because what happened to him was one of the greatest travesties in American history.
Without any basis, they started this investigation of his campaign and even more concerning is what happened after his campaign the whole pattern of events while he was President, to sabotage the Presidency, or at least have the effect.
