Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who got divorced during the COVID-19 pandemic after being at the forefront of discussion during the beginning of it, now has a book coming out on how to “prevent” the next one.
According to Gates’s blog, the book is called How to Prevent the Next Pandemic and is set to be released on May 3, 2022.
“I know that might be hard to believe while we’re still trying to get COVID under control,” Gates began in his announcement of the book.
Gates then acknowledged that he has been following COVID since the early days of the outbreak and claimed to have been working with experts from inside and out of the Gates Foundation who are championing a more “equitable” response and have been fighting infectious diseases for decades.
“I’ve learned a lot in the process—both about this pandemic and how we stop the next one—and I want to share what I’ve heard with people,” Gates insisted.
Gates concluded by suggesting that “If we make the right choices and investments, we can make COVID-19 the last pandemic.”
During a recent appearance at the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany, Gates echoed those words as he talked about the next pandemic.
“The cost of being ready for the next pandemic is not that large. It’s not like climate change. If we’re rational, yes, the next time we’ll catch it early,” Gates asserted.
One Twitter user mocked the announcement of the new book and said in a tweet, “I would really much rather someone write a book about Bill Gates and his cozy relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.”
